Qualifications
We are looking for experienced, union-affiliated actors who bring both professionalism and adaptability to their work. Ideal candidates should have strong improvisation skills, the ability to take direction, and a collaborative attitude. Reliability, punctuality, and respect for confidentiality are essential, as our work often involves sensitive medical training scenarios. A background in educational or simulation work is a plus, but not required—what matters most is your ability to stay present, respond authentically, and contribute to a meaningful learning environment.

“Working as a simulated patient for healthcare training has been one of the most rewarding roles of my career. The level of detail and emotional intelligence required to truly embody a patient’s story is engaging, and it makes the training incredibly effective. I often hear from the medical students and practitioners how much our sessions have prepared them for real-world scenarios—not just clinically, but in how to approach challenging conversations with empathy and clarity. Knowing I’m helping to train the next generation of compassionate healthcare professionals gives me a real sense of purpose. It’s a truly valuable and meaningful application of acting skills.”
